Personal Story

A practical, local voice for Lincoln

Why Joe Is Running

Respect taxpayers. Solve problems. Deliver results.

I am running for the Rhode Island House of Representatives to represent District 44. District 44 covers Johnston-Lincoln-Smithfield.

We live in a state that for the last 15 yrs+ has had a Democratic Governor and a Democratic Supermajority in the State Senate and State House of Representative.

As a result, we are 50th of 50 states in the quality of our roads and bridges-infrastructure; 50th of 50 states in new home construction; 50th of 50 states in ease to start or owning small business; and the bottom 5 in states from a cost perspective to retire and raise a family.

We pay 40% more than the national average for natural gas to heat our homes AND we pay 60% more than the national average for electricity. This is because Democratic leadership has forced solar and wind generation on us. These sources of energy are unreliable and inefficient and cause our costs and delivery charges to increase significantly.

For the past 30 years, I have been in leadership positions in large U.S. corporations, specializing in turning around underperforming businesses and now am a small business owner in RI.

I believe in common sense and practical decision making, not theatrical politics. We pay too many taxes for too few benefits to support seniors, young people starting out in life, and the hardworking men and women of Rhode Island.

I believe I can bring solid business decision making skills and experiences to cut government waste, fraud, and corruption, to get RI back on track.

I am husband, a father, a graduate of Providence College, I grew up in Mass, live in Lincoln, and am a dog parent of 2 great dogs.

I'm running for the House of Representatives - District 44 - Johnston/Lincoln/Smithfield. Between now and election day in November, I will be posting my positions on important matters to hard working Rhode Islanders, starting July 4th.

I believe we can get Rhode Island on a path to making Rhode Island the best state in the United States.

Business and Leadership Experience

Budgeting, accountability, and common sense

Joe's experience connects directly to the work voters expect from state government: careful budgeting, clear accountability, solving real problems, leading teams, and understanding the cost pressures on families and businesses.

Help Joe bring common sense solutions to the State House.
